Do you have a child who will be entering kindergarten in Plainedge this fall? If so, our Plainedge School District along with our Plainedge Teacher Center has another valuable event planned to help make this milestone a positive experience.
We are offering a special parent workshop, Helping Your Child Succeed in Kindergarten on Thursday, May 30th from 6:00-7:00 PM at Eastplain School in the cafeteria for parents who will have a child entering kindergarten this September in Plainedge. This workshop will be facilitated by Plainedge Kindergarten teachers Ms. Christine Colvin from Eastplain, Mrs. Judilyn Meyer from Schwarting and Ms. Morgan Flanagan from John H. West.
This informative workshop will help parents learn more about what you can do at home to help your child experience a smooth transition into kindergarten. Learn about the skills that will help your child get off to a good start with a focus on social skills, everyday skills, as well as academic skills. You will leave with tips and ideas to continue to foster growth in your child over the summer in a fun and engaging way.
