Curriculum & Instruction
The Plainedge School District is committed to providing all students with the best possible education that prepares students for college and career placement.
Beginning in our elementary schools, students are immersed in ELA and mathematics programs that create strong foundations that allow our children to soar to great heights in future grades. Students are exposed to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) units as early as kindergarten through the use of robots, coding projects, and the use of iPads.
Our K-12 continuum includes programming to meet the needs of all students, whether it be specialized classes in the arts, music, or computer sciences, to culinary arts and carpentry life skills classes, and inclusive settings. 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration are embedded into all of our programs across all disciplines.
