First Grade Supply List
Welcome to first grade! I look forward to meeting you in September. I hope that our time together will be fun and exciting. Please bring the following items with your name (first and last), teacher's name, and room number. Some supplies will need to be replenished throughout the year.
small plastic storage box for storing supplies in your desk
6 sharpened #2 pencils
sharpener (with case to hold shavings)
pink bevel eraser
box of 24 regular-sized crayons
3 glue sticks- not liquid (Replenish as needed)
sharp scissors
3 folders with bottom pockets; 1 red, 1 green, 1 blue, 1 yellow
1 black marble composition notebook
1 red marble composition notebook
1 blue marble composition notebook
1 9 x 12 50 count package of construction paper
1 clipboard
a nutritious snack and drink (everyday for snack time)
1 black dry-erase marker
1 Expo dry-marker eraser
1 highlighter
1 box of tissues (family size)
2 containers of baby wipes
1 gallon size box of Ziploc Bags
Please bring these items on the first day of school. Make sure that your child’s name is written on EVERYTHING (pencils too)!
Most of these items can be found at the GO store
Bringing all of the correct supplies on the first day will help you get off to a good start in first grade.
It is very important to Read, Read, Read. Remember the Plainedge Public Library has many exciting books for you to read.
It would be a great idea to continue working on your number facts and letter sounds.
