FIELD DAY

9:30 A.M. - 2:30 P.M. Grades 1 - 5
9:30 A.M. - 11:50 A.M. Kindergarten
There will be a Picnic Lunch this Year !
All students are asked to bring a picnic lunch to school on Field Day.
You may also bring a blanket or towel to sit on.
Safety Rules
No students will be allowed to leave the field to go out to
lunch with their parents or another student's parents.
All parents who plan to visit our Field Day and have not ordered a pass, must bring a photo ID to be admitted
to the field.
Field Day this year will be taking place on Friday, June
2, 2006. The kindergarten and 1st grade children will be participating in
Field Day Events from 9:30 A.M. - 11:50 A.M. on the Jerusalem Ave. side of
the field. At 11:50 they will go to have their picnic lunch. After
lunch the kindergarten students will return to their classrooms for afternoon
activities. The 1st grade students will return to the Jerusalem Ave. field
for 3 more activities. At 1:30 P.M. the Kindergarten and 1st grade students will join the 2nd -
4th grade students for some entertainment.
The 2nd - 4th grade students will take part in Field Day Events on the softball
fields side of our field. They will take part in events and have their
picnic lunch between the hours of 9:30 A.M. - 1:30 P.M. At 1:30 P.M. they
too will be entertained.
The 5th grade students will take part in Field Day Events on the softball fields
side of our field from 9:30 A.M. - 1:10 P.M. They too will have a picnic
lunch, but at 1:10 P.M. they will play in a Kickball game.
Everyone will meet on the field at 2:30 to hear the final score of all the field
day events.
Mrs. Connelly and Mrs. Smith are our Field Day
Co-Chairpersons. They will be organizing the many parents that will
volunteer to help out on Field
Day. You will be notified as to what station you have been assigned to
during the week of May 22nd.

Team colors will be given out on Wednesday, May 24th. Teams can not be changed. If you are on the red team you should wear a red or dark colored shirt. If you are on the white team you should wear a white or light colored shirt.
Since we will be out on the field most of the day, don't forget your sunscreen, water bottles, hats, etc. You will be responsible for these items so make sure your name is on them.
The most important thing to remember is to have fun on Field Day. Show your good sportsmanship when a teammate does something well. Say something nice when someone might not be feeling too good about their performance. Most of the events are wacky and are here for you to enjoy yourself. Let's have another great Schwarting Field Day.
