Our elementary ESL students facilitated by Mrs. Leitman read and then rewrote folktales from their different heritages. Next they used the Ultimate Writing and Creativity Center to publish and illustrate their folktales. They also compiled all of the folktales into books for each other so they would have a keepsake.

The students were so proud of their folktales they decided to present them for some special guests. Eleven staff members were thrilled to be invited to hear the students share their folktales publicly. The guests really enjoyed the students' creative writing and outstanding  public speaking. After the presentation, the ESL students continued to be fabulous hosts as they served their special guests refreshments including delicious oatmeal chocolate chips cookies baked by our ESL students.
