Dear Parents,
Here is a poem I thought you might enjoy!!!
Have a great day!!!!
Mrs. Milito ![]()
Have a Good Day
I have the day to myself,
They're all going off to school.
Shiny shoes, sparkling dress or shirt.
They're going to learn the golden rule.
Their eyes how they sparkle
As they run with glee,
To gather pencils and paper...
What's wrong with me?
The summer tan's left a healthy glow.
Each hair is now in place.
It's hard to recognize our ruffians,
They've taken on an air...a grace.
The cut-off jeans, the halter tops
Are being packed away.
This child in front of me looks so grown,
Was it only yesterday?
They run out the door to meet their friends
At the little bend in the road.
"Who do you have? Yeah, I do too."
Why is it so heavy ...my load?
They run back to me, with a kiss and a "Bye Mom"
They're merrily on their way.
I hope they don't see the tear trickling down
As I call out, "Have a good day!"
