Dear Parents and Students,
Welcome to second grade!!!!! We look forward to meeting all of
you in September. Please bring the following supplies with you on
the first day of school. Remember to label all items with your name
(first and last), teacher’s name, and room number.

4 composition notebooks (1
red, 1 blue, 1 green, 1 black)
1 (1 subject) Wide Ruled spiral notebook
Ruler (able to measure in inches and cm) (12 inches long)
8 glue sticks (Replenish as needed)
1 bottle Elmer's White School
Glue
24 sharpened #2 pencils
Box of 24 Crayons
Box of 12 colored pencils
Scissors
7 plastic folders with horizontal pockets
(red, light blue, green, yellow,
orange, purple and blue)
Wide ruled looseleaf paper
(Bring ˝ of the package to school, leave the other ˝ at home.)
Pink Eraser
1 package assorted colors construction paper
(not on a pad)
1 small pencil sharpener (with a case to hold shavings)
Scotch tape
Supply Box (8.5 x 5.5)
Box of tissues
Child’s photograph (Please put first and last name on back)
3 (3x3 lined) Post-It note pads
1 package of baby wipes
1 box gallon sized “Zipper Style” baggies (10 count)
1 clipboard
It may be helpful to put most of the above items in a supply box.
Additional supplies may be required in September.
Any magazines you collect over the summer can also be brought
in, as they will help us with various projects throughout the year. (Parents-
please review the magazine before it is sent in.)
It is very important to read, read, read. Remember the Plainedge Public Library has many exciting books for you to read.
It would be a great idea to continue writing and practice
your math facts.
