| Rob Amster
Mr. Amster came to Plainedge High
School in 2001. He was the English Department head for two
years before becoming the high school principal. The bulk of
his day is spent in meetings, meetings, and more meetings, so
naturally the highlight of his day is the 45 minutes he spends in
the classroom at the beginning of every day. He is a father of
three, so he has no free time or hobbies or personal life of any
sort.

| Carol Hay
Mrs. Hay loves teaching and loves the
students at PHS. She is originally from Boston, has been teaching at
PHS for almost twenty-five years, and has a Masters in English from
Stony Brook University. She loves to travel and has studied
Shakespeare with the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford-Upon-Avon,
England, Shakespeare's birthplace. She has also traveled
throughout England, France, the Netherlands, and Italy, along with many
states in the U.S. A film lover, Mrs. Hay studied film in a special summer
program at New York University, after which she developed the Film
Studies program at PHS so that she could share her love of films with her
students. Most importantly, Mrs. Hay is a cat lover and she
loves her cats Pekoe and Spooky almost more than she loves teaching!
