Afterschool Workshop
In 2008-2009, I will be hosting an afterschool workshop on Computer Art. This beginners program will be offered to 4th and 5th graders. Students will use different programs on the computer to create artwork. The artwork will be printed for the students.
In the 2006-2007 school year, I be hosted a workshop based on the art of Renaissance artist, Leonardo Da Vinci. Da Vinci was not only an artist, but a man of many skills and trades. He was a true Renaissance man. This workshop focused on the Da Vinci's artwork, scientific studies, creative inventions, and much more. The work was displayed in our school Science fair.
Winter/Spring 2004: This workshop is open to 4th graders and will have students create art projects in different mediums. Some of the projects will be drawing and painting, while others will be more about using hands to stitch plastic lanyard lacing or string. The kids are going to come home with some great art that they accomplish on their own.
This first project looks at the work of Rene Magritte, a surrealist painter. He is famous for creating artwork with dreamlike imagery including the sky and silhouettes. Here are some examples of his artwork:
