First Grade Supply List  (07-08)

                                                                                      
Welcome to first grade! I look forward to meeting you in September. I know that our time together will be fun and exciting. Please bring the following items with your name (first and last), teacher's name, and room number on the first day of school. Some supplies will need to be replenished throughout the year. 

small plastic storage box for storing supplies in your desk

6 sharpened #2 pencils

sharpener (with case to hold shavings)

1 rubber eraser

box of 24 regular-sized crayons 

3 glue sticks- not liquid (Replenish as needed)

sharp scissors

5 Plastic  folders with bottom pockets - 1 red, 1 blue, 1 green, 1 yellow, 1 orange

1 black marble composition notebook 

1 red composition notebook

1 blue composition notebook

1 package of construction paper

a nutritious snack and drink (everyday for snack time)

2 blue erasable pens

1 box of tissues (family size)

2 boxes of baby wipes

1 box of gallon size Ziploc bags



                                           

Most of these items can be found at the G.O. store.

Bringing all of the correct supplies on the first day will help you get off to a good start in first grade. 

It is very important to Read, Read, Read. Remember the Plainedge Public Library has many exciting books for you to read. 

It would also be a great idea to continue working on your number facts and letter sounds throughout the year.
