How to Succeed in Fifth Grade
Fifth grade is an important year because you will be preparing to enter middle school. You are expected to become more mature in your attitude towards your work, more organized about your books and supplies, and more responsible for your behavior. Here are some procedures that will help you do your best this year.
* All of your papers require a complete heading.

* You will have homework every day.
* You will read 20 minutes every evening.
* All work is to be done in pen and in script, except Math, which is always done in pencil.
* You should review your notes daily and take time to prepare for tests.
* Your work should always be well written, and your personal best.
* All incomplete or improperly done classwork or homework will have to be redone.
* Long-range assignments are due on the date we agree upon. One grade will be subtracted for each late day.
* You are to display good conduct and follow class rules.
* All of your textbooks must be covered. As covers become destroyed you are responsible for replacing them. Since you are also responsible for your school supplies, be sure to replace any supplies you use up.
* Extra help will be offered weekly.
