Health Expectations

 Attendance and Punctuality: Students are expected to arrive on time for each class. Absence from class for any reason does not excuse a student from his/her classwork or homework. Students must make-up all work upon returning to class.

 Notebook: All students must have a health section in their notebook (or a separate binder) and a folder.

 Homework: Homework will count as 20% of the student’s final quarter average. Every student starts with a 100 homework grade. Homework will be checked on a regular basis. Every time a student misses a homework assignment, 3 points are deducted from the homework grade.

 Class Participation: Class participation will count as 20% of the student’s final quarter average. This will include participation in class discussions and participation/behavior in cooperative group work.

 Assessments: Written tests and projects will count as 60% of student’s final quarter average.

Extra Help: Extra help is available to any student who has shown an honest effort in class. Extra help will be held in the mornings and students must see teacher in advance for a pass.
