Dear
Parents/Guardians:
This year the 8th grade students will being going to
Brookville
Park
to experience an exciting challenge
called Project Adventure. Project Adventure is an outdoor
educational program where cooperation and teamwork are stressed through
performing various physical activities.
The students will be attending the trip according to the following
schedule:
Learning Community 81-October 18, 2004
Learning Community 82-November 18, 2004
Learning Community 83-October 20, 2004
Buses will be leaving school at
9:15 a.m.
Students must be in school at the start
of the school day and will be dismissed at their usual time. There will be a
regular school day for those students not attending the trip.
Please provide your child with disposable lunch, clearly marked with their
name (no glass please). No food or drinks can be bought at the Project Adventure
site. Children should dress in comfortable clothing. The weather will be chilly; therefore, layers are strongly recommended. Children must
wear long pants, long sleeve shirts, and crew length socks. Please keep in
mind that we will be visiting a wooded area.
The cost of this trip is $24.00 per child. Cash
will only be accepted. Completed permission slips and money must be returned
by October 8, 2004
to Mrs. Dillon in an envelope
clearly marked “Project Adventure.” Due
to the advance reservations necessary for the trip, there will be no refunds.
If you have any questions or concerns about this trip, please contact Mrs.
Dillon at 992-7650. We look forward
to having a wonderful day in the outdoors while building a stronger learning
community.
FOR PLANNING PURPOSES,
ALL STUDENTS MUST SUBMIT A COMPLETED PERMISSION SLIP.
