FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Q. What do I do if I have a question about a grade or if I have a concern regarding a particular class? A.
You can contact the teacher of the class by leaving a message in the main office,
992-7650, or you can email the teacher by using first name.last name @plainedgeschools.org (louise.scarola@plainedgeschools.org) or by clicking on the teacher's name in PowerSchool to address whatever is at issue. If after that you
still have questions or concerns, call your child's Guidance Counselor
(992-7670)
Q. What am I supposed to do when
my child is going to be absent? A. Call the
attendance phone number, 992-7682, and leave a message with your child's name,
grade level, date(s) of absence, and reason for absence.
Q. How do I get homework when my child is absent? A.
If your child is going to be absent for 1 or 2 days, he/she should call his/her
homework buddy. (every student should have the phone number of a homework
buddy for each class). If your child will be out for 3 or more days,
you may call the Guidance Secretary, Annette Mule, at 992-7670,
or you can also email the teachers to request homework.
Q. What do I do if I must take my child out of
school early? A. Please send your child in
to school with a note stating that he/she must leave early, giving a
specific time that he/she will be picked up. The child will give the note
to the teacher of the class he must leave and come to the Guidance Office.
Parents will pick their child up in Guidance at the proscribed time. Please forward any questions or concerns to me by clicking on the
mailbox. Thanks, Louise
