All About Us

    Welcome to the first grade.  My name is Mrs. Adragna.  This year we have 19 students in our class.  In our classroom we have many wonderful things that we will be learning throughout the year.

   In order to have a fun and exciting school year there is one very important thing the children must follow and that  is our classroom community rules.  The classroom rules are rules in which we establish as a class on the first day of school.

   On the first day of school, I like to create a warm and positive learning environment for the children.  I encourage the children to always be on their best behavior and reward them with "Tickets" on a daily basis.  On Fridays, the children can cash in their tickets at Brescia's Boutique.  The children can also receive table stars throughout the week.  At the end of the week, the table with the most stars have the opportunity to pick from the basket.  Lastly, we have a marble jar.  For each compliment they receive, a marble goes into the jar.  When they fill the jar, they get to choose as a class how they want to celebrate.
