History Night
History night was held on the evening of November 8th. All 3 elementary schools in Plainedge participated. Colonial workshops were held at the middle school, and many parent volunteers and student helpers made this event possible. Schwarting’s principal, Ms. Wilding is holding a completed sample from the ‘paper making’ workshop with Mrs. Karla Metzdorff. There were other workshops such as butter and fudge making, corn husk doll making, tin lantern making, candle dipping, colonial games and fun trivia contests as well. The students of Plainedge had lots of fun, and learned a lot at the same time. A huge thank you goes out to Chris Moir of the Eastplain Elementary PTA for organizing this event. We also thank Schwarting’s very own Mrs. Maria Campbell for organizing Schwarting’s volunteers as well.
Lots of planning and prep time went into making this event a success, and a success it was!
