Circus Extravaganza |
On Friday December 5, 2008, the Schwarting Kindergarten students put on a circus performance for their parents. Students learned what it takes to be real circus performers! Through music, movement, literature, poetry, art, and dramatic expression, the Kindergarteners discovered the world of a circus with the Enrichment teacher, Mrs. Slattery. In Physical Education, the Kindergarten students learned to enhance their eye-hand coordination with the circus skill of juggling using scarves, snowballs, and rings. The gross-motor skill of balance was displayed through fun-noodle balance and tight-rope walking. The circus also included lions and lion tamers! Thanks to Mrs. Martone and Miss Tartamella for all the great equipment and for teaching the Kindergarteners these circus arts!!
