Our Teamwork Helps Our Troops

 

Schwarting's first graders donated their  extra Halloween candy to troops serving in Afghanistan.  In school, they predicted the weight of the candy donated.  Then they weighed it to see how close their predictions were to the actual weight of the candy. Also, students wrote thank you letters for the troops, to show their gratitude.  At the same time, the children learned about Citizenship, Schwarting's Character Trait of the Month for November.

The Schwarting Student Council once again collected items to send to our troops as well.

The Cub Scouts of Pack 436  recycled enough cans and bottles to pay for the cost of shipping all of the packages shipped from Schwarting Elementary. This was the fourth year that the Cub Scouts have recycled for this purpose! :-) Thank you so much. Our Schwarting students really have learned a lot about  working as a team!!Happy holidays.
