The second grade children participated in a Red Cross Reading Marathon.  The children read for 15 minutes a day for 10 days.  They collected pledges for their reading.  At a beautiful assembly where the children sang songs for the parents, Mr. Nori of the Red Cross was presented with over eleven hundred dollars to use for the local chapter of the Red Cross.  The children were very proud of themselves as they read to help people in need in their local community.
