Third Grade Recorder Class

Dear Third Grade Students,

This year Mrs.Finnegan teaches the third grade recorder at Schwarting. So Schwarting third grade students, if you have any questions, please talk to Mrs. Finnegan.

Ms.Ralph's class at West, you will start to learn the recorder in January. Before that, you will learn musical theory, which helps you to read music. If you can read music, you can play the recorder.     

You will get a recorder book and a recorder. You are responsible for them. When you start to learn the recorder, you must bring both your recorder and recorder book to music class. 

Many of you have learned how to play the xylophones, metallophones and other percussion instruments, but learning the recorder will be a totally different and exciting experience. To demonstrate your skills in public, we will have a recorder concert in the spring. Get ready to smile for your family!
