Read to Achieve

Cablevision's Read to Achieve program will surely encourage our third graders to read. At our kick-off, students and teachers screamed titles of favorite books as they took a shot with the basketball. During the year, Cablevision and the New York Knicks will support our third graders reading goals by donating books to each classroom, sending teachers reading incentives such as Knicks pens, congratulating each class with a pizza party and creating class web pages promoting reading at powertolearn.com.

We are honored West third graders were among the 300 classes chosen to participate. Thanks Cablevsion and the Knicks for partnering with us to celebrate and encourage reading in John H. West.
