Fifth Grade

What is John West?
What does it mean to us?
Teachers caring and students sharing-
That's what it means to us

Way back in Kindergarten we learned our ABC's
We learned lots of other things-
like how to count by 3's.

Moving up to 1st grade
the day seemed really long,
but we had so much fun learning-
Sometimes we burst out into songs!
"Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday"

Now in 2nd grade, the teachers seem really sweet,
we practice our handwriting,
so we'll write really neat!

When we were in 3rd grade
we learned how to multiply
and we also got to see a chrysalis
turn into a butterfly!

Our next stop was the 4th grade
where we tackled the E.L.A.
At first we thought we'd never get through it
but our teachers showed us the way- HEY!

Now here we are in 5th grade
and soon we'll graduate
our time at John West has been really great.
Our memories of John West will last for a long while
and when we think about John West we'll do it with a smile!
