A Message from Superintendent Dr. Edward A. Salina, Jr.
2023 is here and our students are back in school and back in the swing of things. The new year brings with it a look forward as we work off the progress made in the first part of the year.
At Plainedge, education never ends. That is why we are excited to welcome back our adult learners for continuing education classes. More information about the 2023 offerings is listed below.
Our winter athletics are keeping up the momentum with our 8th girls grade volleyball team going undefeated for a second straight season and Caden Morra becoming Plainedge’s first-ever 1,000-point scorer. This is a great accomplishment for Caden and really shows his dedication to the team and to his sport.
We are also looking towards the future with the opening of registration for our Universal Pre-K and our kindergarten program. It is always a great moment when we welcome these new students into our school and we see the joy on their faces as they begin their journeys in education.
I would also like to remind everyone that on January 31st a library bond vote will be taking place. You can vote at the Plainedge Public Library: 1060 Hicksville Rd. North Massapequa NY 11758 from 12:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Please make your voice heard.
I hope that everyone has an excellent beginning to 2023 and I know that there is much more great work to come in the 2023 school year.
