Middle School Academy Awards

The Script to Screen Academy Awards was an event held on Friday, February 17th, celebrating the creativity of the Script to Screen students from the first semester. The students worked hard to film and edit trailers that helped them to visually tell the stories they had written in class. The event highlighted both the nominated and winning trailers of each of six categories:

Best Music, Best Editing, Best Drama, Best Comedy, Best Horror, and Best Screenplay.

The winners of each category are as follows:

  • Best Music- “The Invitation” by Ava Boucher, Kalena Burgos, and
  • Nikoleta Roussinos
  • Best Editing- “Harold the Clown” by Danica Rossi, Keria Sinclair,
  • and Lenisa Martinez
  • Best Drama- “A Little Too Perfect” by Makenna Maggio and Maria
  • Katsigiorgis
  • Best Comedy- “Pineapples” by Ryan Warner and Cameron Fella
  • Best Horror- “Living Nightmares” by Salvatore Renzo, Thomas
  • O’Rourke, and Peter Blumenthal
  • Best Screenplay- “Extraordinary Expedition” by Jimmy Jiang
