About the Board of Education
The Plainedge Board of Education consists of seven residents who are elected by the people and serve without salary for three-year terms of office.
The Plainedge Board of Education holds monthly meetings, with the full schedule available online at Plainedge BOE Meeting Schedule. These meetings are open to the public, and you are welcome to attend either in person or via live stream. Most meetings take place in the Innovation Learning Center (ILC), located in the west wing of Plainedge High School.
Our Public Board of Education Meetings are an opportunity to celebrate student and staff achievements, share insightful presentations on our district’s educational programs and services, and keep the community informed about key initiatives. We encourage residents to take part—whether by attending, listening, or contributing during the public comment portion of our regular meetings. Your voice matters, and we welcome your input!
Meeting agendas and minutes are regularly updated on the District’s website.
For more information, please contact the District Clerk’s Office at (516) 992-7457. We look forward to your participation and engagement in our school community!
