On March 26, Ms. Lewis, the Gay Straight Alliance Advisor took 13 of her club members to the LGBT Youth Summit at Suffolk Community College. The 28th Annual LGBT Youth Conference brought together youth from all over Long Island to educate and empower participants to advocate for LGBT people and ignite their activism. Some of the workshops the students attended were growing & energizing Your GSA, Anti-bulling & Leadership, Organizing & Advocacy Skills, Social Justice & Activism and LGBT History & Media Representation.
