Congratulations to Ryan Agovino who was selected as the recipient for the Nassau County District Attorney’s SHIELD Award. Plainedge Schools was able to nominate one 11th-grade student for this award based on their academic achievements, strength of character, and initiative of positive change. SHIELD stands for Service, Honesty, Integrity, Excellence, Leadership, and Duty. Ryan Agovino was nominated because he embodies each of these qualities.
