Good news! Our schools will be open tomorrow, Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at our regularly scheduled hours, including our STARS before-care and after-care programs.
Due to the significant snowfall on top of the snow already on the ground, navigating roads, parking lots, and sidewalks throughout the community may present some challenges. We encourage families and staff to allow additional time in the morning and to exercise extra caution while traveling to and from school. Please also anticipate the possibility of minor delays with district transportation, as these conditions make it more challenging for buses to navigate side streets.
We understand that winter weather can create circumstances beyond anyone’s control. Please know that our schools will be flexible tomorrow with regard to lateness as everyone works to arrive safely.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank our facilities team and transportation crew, many of whom worked throughout the storm to ensure that our schools were prepared to open safely. Their efforts are nothing less than herculean and are truly appreciated.
Last, but not least, I would like to thank you for your continued partnership and patience as we navigated this historic weather event together. Snowstorms are never easy, but this one was particularly challenging as it coincided with our return from mid-winter recess. I know I speak for all of our staff when I say that we are very much looking forward to welcoming your children back to school tomorrow.
Warmest Regards,
Carol Muscarella
Interim Superintendent
