Dear Plainedge School District Community,
As we officially close the 2025–2026 school year and prepare for the leadership transition on July 1, I want to thank you for the privilege of serving as your Interim Superintendent. Having previously served this district as a principal, returning to Plainedge in this role has been especially meaningful. It has been a true honor to once again work alongside this remarkable community.
As we reflect on the 2025–2026 school year, I am reminded of what has always made Plainedge so special: a community defined by pride, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to its children. It has been a joy to witness our students’ accomplishments, our staff’s dedication, and the unwavering support of our families throughout the year. Thank you to our students for your enthusiasm and hard work; to our educators and staff for your dedication and care; and to our parents and community members for your trust, partnership, and support. Together, you make Plainedge an extraordinary place to learn and grow.
As I pass the baton to Dr. Christopher Zublionis on July 1, I do so with great confidence in the district’s future. Dr. Zublionis is a thoughtful, student-centered leader whose experience, integrity, and vision will serve Plainedge well. I know he is excited to become part of this community, and I am certain you will welcome him with the same warmth and kindness you extended to me.
Thank you for allowing me to be part of the Plainedge family once again. I will always cherish my time here, both as a principal and as your Interim Superintendent, and wish you all a safe, happy, and restful summer.
Warmest regards,
Carol Muscarella
