About the SAT

The SAT is a multiple-choice, pencil-and-paper test created and administered by the College Board. The purpose of the SAT is to measure a high school student’s readiness for college, and provide colleges with one common data point that can be used to compare all applicants.

About the ACT

The ACT is another college entrance exam that is accepted by all colleges. However, the ACT is not an aptitude or an IQ test, it is an achievement test. The test questions on the ACT are directly related to what you have learned in your high school courses in English, mathematics, reading and science. The link below contains specific information about the exam. For information on when to take this exam, please consult with your guidance counselor.
