Peter Porrazzo joined the Plainedge School District in March of 2011.
He brings over 25 years of financial experience in both Public Accounting and Private Industry to Plainedge.
Mr. Porrazzo received a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Hofstra University, a Master’s Degree in Education from LIU Post and an Advanced Graduate Certificate in Human Resource Studies from the State University at Stony Brook. He is also a New York State licensed CPA.
The Business Office is responsible for the day-to-day management of the community-approved budget and the preparation of the budget each year. Additionally, individuals in the business office are responsible for management of the District’s financials, purchasing, accounts payable, employee benefits, fixed assets and payroll.

Congratulations to Plainedge High School students Khloe Hong and Anthony Pravata on earning National Merit Commendations! This prestigious recognition is awarded by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) to students who achieve exceptional scores on the PSAT/NMSQT. Commended Students, who rank among the top 2–3% of all test-takers nationwide, receive a Letter of Commendation in honor of their academic excellence.

As many of you know, Mrs. Muscarella is a deeply respected leader with a long history of service to the Plainedge School District. Her deep love for its students, faculty, staff, and community is why she answered the call to serve once again. We are confident that her experience and dedicated leadership will provide stability and guidance during this transitional period.
